Now think back to my lawn analogy, and remember how influential first impressions can be. Someone could have an awful looking lawn, but if you were to step inside their house, it could blow you away by its beauty. People will quickly leave your website based on the outdated appearance and/or lack of relevant content, all without knowing that they just missed out on the perfect solution for their problem and you missed out on a new customer.
